Park Stories Project
Share Your Stories of Brookline's Parks!
Join us in a digital initiative entitled the "Park Stories Project" to collect memories, anecdotes and photos from the community about your favorite Brookline parks.
Did you get married in Larz Anderson Park? Did you hit your first homerun at Robinson Field? Do you enjoy a regular jog or walk through Olmsted Park?
Our goal is to create an archive of the treasured memories and personal connections that define these open spaces. The stories captured will inform future parks projects and public art installations, including the upcoming installation of three murals on utility boxes in our Parks. We encourage you to share your story today! Submissions will be collected until May 1st.
Sharing your story is a free and easy process. We accept: written stories, pictures, videos, and/or audio files.
Please note that submissions will be considered public record and may be copied and/or distributed without permission.
How do I get started?
1) Before you submit your story, please be sure it is an original work to which you own the rights. Please be advised that your submission may be shared publicly.
2) You can submit your story in whatever way is easiest for you!
- Use the form below to submit your story, image or movie.
- Send a hard copy to our office: Parks and Open Space Division, Brookline Town Hall, 333 Washington Street, Brookline MA 02445 Attn: Alexandra Vecchio
- Email your story to parks@brooklinema.gov with the subject "Park Story Submission"
- Visit our office on the 4th Floor of Brookline Town Hall. We can scan in any photos you may have or record your story. Contact the Parks and Open Space Division at (617) 730-2088 or parks@brooklinema.gov to make an appointment.
