Demolition Complete; Construction webpage up!

Posted on May 11, 2016 at 8:59 AM by Kara Brewton

With the demolition of the Circle Cinema and Applebee's building complete, National Development is now focusing on preparing the site to get ready for the garage and building foundation work. This phase will continue through the summer and early fall. Last night (May 10th), the Board of Selectmen agreed to a Memorandum of Agreement and issued a Revocable License: this allows public access along the sidewalk adjacent to the hotel, which will be built partially on private property. This License also allows the developer to install and maintain plantings at the intersection of Clinton Road and Chestnut Hill Avenue as well as within the public right-of-way in front of the hotel.

The best way to keep up to date with The Circle is through National Development's webpage for this project, which includes contacts for day-to-day construction activities.

2/18 Planning Board Circle Cinema Mtg

Posted on February 10, 2016 at 5:41 PM by Kara Brewton

National Development finished their Special Permit process in August 2015 for the Circle Cinema Site (375-399 Chestnut Hill Avenue). Over the fall and winter they have been preparing demolition and  pre-construction documents. Proposed modifications to the site plan and hotel elevations will be reviewed and potentially approved by the Planning Board at their February 18th meeting, Room 111 of Town Hall, after 8:30 pm.  The drawings that will be reviewed (February 2016 Design Review Package) are available on the Town's project webpage.

We will send another email notice once a demolition permit has been reviewed and approved, and will also at that time post their Construction Management Plan along with construction phase contact information. We anticipate this next phase happening over the next month or so.
