This is a clarification on the announcement below: the monthly tax of 8 Juniper St. # 23 is $15 monthly and not $357.  
Tax rates for affordable units are low because the affordable units have a special classification in the Town's Assessment system that makes them 'affordable' to families below annual household incomes at 80% of area median income.

The Town's Housing Division is facilitating the resale of three affordable condos in Brookline via lottery.  More information and application packages are available on the Town's website clicking here:

150 Pleasant St. # 308 - 1-bedroom / 697 Sq. Ft
Price: $195,422 - Condo fee $464 and monthly tax $15

150 Pleasant St. #402 - 1-bedroom /669 Sq. Ft
Price: $195,422 - Condo Fee $464 and monthly tax $15 

8 Juniper St. #23 - 2-bedrooms /759 Sq.Ft.
Price $204,433 - Condo fee $357 and monthly tax $15

Units will be offered only to a first time homebuyer with annual household incomes below at the following thresholds:
For a 1 member household - Annual household income should be $67,400 or less, or a 2 member household, $77,000 or less; for a 3 member household $86,650 or less.  Assets Should be less than $75,000.

Resale of two 1-Bedroom Affordable Housing Units in St. Aidan's - 150 Pleasant St.

The Town of Brookline Housing Division is facilitating the resale of two 1-bedroom  affordable housing units located at St. Aidan's Condominiums (150 Pleasant Street).  The two units are targeted to income-qualified first time homebuyers with household incomes below 80% of the area median income (Boston Metropolitan Area).  Prospective buyers will be selected by lottery on Tuesday, February 16, 2020 at 6:30pm via Zoom.

To apply, interested parties need to submit an application and a lender's pre-qualification letter before Friday, February 5, 2021 at noon.  Applicants will be given a lottery ticket for participation in the lottery.  The lottery will be hold electronically via Zoom.  Application, guidelines and unit's layout are found at:

2 & 3 Bedroom Federal Family Waiting Lists to Open

The Brookline Housing Authority will be accepting applications for two and three-bedroom federal family public housing beginning November 9th, 8:30 AM through December 4th, 1 PM. Eligible applicants will be placed in random order on the appropriate wait list. Date and time of applications will not be considered. Applications received after 1 PM, December 4th will not be accepted. The waiting period for housing depends on local preferences, priorities and the number of vacancies in our developments.

Beginning Monday, November 9th, 8:30 AM applications will be available to download at www.brooklinehousing.org Applications can also be obtained by calling 617-277-2022 ext. 300 or by email to apps@brooklinehousing.org -  Maximum Household Income by family size:

2 people $77,000; 3 people $86,650; 4 people $96,250; 5 people $103,950; 6 people $111,650

Applications can be returned by US mail or delivered to our drop box at Brookline Housing Authority, 90 Longwood Ave., Suite 1, Brookline, MA 02446 or submitted by email to apps@brooklinehousing.org. Applications returned by US mail must be postmarked no later than December 4, 2020. Applications returned by email or to the drop box must be delivered by 1 PM on December 4, 2020. Faxed applications will not be accepted.
