- Brookline Teens: Come Design a Mini Park With Us!
This spring (2022), the Parks and Open Space Division will collaborate with a group of Brookline teens to build and design a mini-park (or "parklet"). The development of a parklet involves repurposing 2-3 curbside parking spaces into a fun, outdoor space where people can eat, drink, read, work, visit with friends and enjoy the downtown commercial areas within Brookline. Interested in getting involved? Sign up below!
The entire project will span over two days (one day to design, one day to build). Lunch and supplies will be provided each day. We ask that all participants bring water bottles and a face mask.
Saturday, April 2 10 AM - 2 PM: Brainstorm ideas and develop a design. This event will take place indoors at the Brookline Teen Center (40 Aspinwall Avenue).
Saturday, May 21 9 AM - 2 PM: Work with DPW Staff to build the parklet at 289 Harvard Street in Coolidge Corner.
