Once you've registered an Accela account, open our Guide to Apply for a Building Permit Online (PDF). This will walk you through using Accela to get a building permit. Then, click "Apply Online" to get started.

Please note: For all permit applications that include fire protection systems under 780 CMR Chapter 4 (Special Detailed Requirements Based on Use and Occupancy), Chapter (9 Fire Protection Systems), or Chapter 34 (Existing Structures), construction documents must be filed with the head of the Brookline Fire for review. Refer to the Fire Department webpage for more information.
