- Design Guidelines for Local Historic Districts
The Brookline Preservation Commission has been conducting ongoing virtual subcommittee meetings on comprehensive revisions to our Local Historic District design guidelines.
The proposed 2021 guidelines strive to clarify and re-enforce existing reviews while also implementing further protective measures on smaller, character defining features such exterior lighting. Expanded guidelines on appropriate renewable energy systems are also being developed to more accurately advise property owners within our eight historic districts.
We encourage and welcome the public to attend and participate.
Meetings take place every other Thursday at 8:00 A.M. over Zoom. Registration required. See our calendar here to register for upcoming meetings.
