HOW TO ENROLL IN THE MBTA YOUTH PASS PROGRAM
STEP 1: DETERMINE IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE
To be eligible you must:
live in Brookline
not be enrolled in a middle school or high school, and
be between the ages of 12 - 25.
If you are between the ages of 19 - 25, you must demonstrate means testing. This includes being enrolled in a GED or job training program, be a resident of Brookline Housing, or taking part in a state or federal income-based program such as Mass Health, WIC, food stamps, Section 8, etc. For more about the program including a complete list of qualifying programs click here
Go to the MBTA online portal https://www.mbta.com/fares/reduced/youth-pass and submit the online form and choose to have the card picked up in person at the Transportation Division office at Brookline Town Hall 333 Washington St Brookline, MA 02445 Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 12:30pm
Apply in person at the Transportation Division office at Brookline Town Hall 333 Washington St Brookline, MA 02445 by emailing Richard Guan rguan@brooklinema.gov to make an appointment. Please complete the paper application in advance and have all relevant documents with you when you arrive for the appointment.
