Town of Brookline has begun the reconstruction and roadway improvement project at the following three locations:

  • Greenough Street 
  •  The intersection of Blake Road, Rawson Road and Gardner Road
  • The intersection of Blake Road and Tappan Street 

This project was awarded to Newport Construction and will begin construction starting early June. The project for construction is based on sidewalks, curbing, roadway surface, pavement markings, plantings and signing.  Construction will be done portions from one location to another and substantially completing each section before moving onto the next portion.

Brookline Engineering would like to notify careful coordination and public cooperation with this construction effort will be critical to its successful and timely completion.

Blake Rd / Tappan St, Rawson Rd & Gardner Rd: Update Paving

Roadway work will be between 7:00 A.M. thru 4:00 P.M.

Residents with driveway or private way access on should plan to remove their vehicles prior to 7:00 A.M on Saturday, August 12, as access will be restricted until approximately 4:00 P.M. Please park on an adjacent side streets should you anticipate using your vehicle during the day

Curbside parking will be prohibited within active work zones, but re-open at the end of the work day.

Drivers should be using CAUTION both during and after the roadway milling operations.

The police department will be notified that you can’t use your driveways due to construction.
